Notes

The Notes website is a place I keep notes how I've tackled some challenges or how I have applied (open source) software for my personal projects. I've created the website to make it easier to share notes with others.I publish the notes on my own website rather than one of the many blog/story/tinkering sites to make sure the notes will always be available for free, without the need for registration. And because I have full control over the content. This website is not a blog, new content will appear very irregularly, and I don't make every note public. The personal projects are quite unlike what I do for a living, don't expect any posts on my professional projects here.

About the domain name: Federated Me is the umbrella term for some of my personal software projects. Federated because there's not one big project that does it all: there's a project for each activity that keeps me busy, and a lot is delegated to off-the-shelf apps and services. Some projects are the digital glue that automate the data flow from one service to another. But there are also a few life-long projects with a lot of original code. Me because the projects are designed with one user in mind. If you have woodworking skills perhaps you can create your own furniture. If you have programming skills and can tinker with hardware, you're not limited to the apps, devices and services other people create.
